BACKGROUND

Founded in 2009, Vivo is a leading global technology company committed to creating trend-setting smart mobile products and services. 

Midas PR has been working with Vivo Thailand on a retainer basis for one year, handling all PR activities for the company in the country. Throughout this collaboration, Midas PR has delivered close to a thousand pieces of media coverage for Vivo’s numerous activities and events.

On September 30, 2019, Vivo officially launched the next installment to its upper mid-range V series – V17 Pro – in Thailand. The launch was joined by two members of the famous K-Pop boyband GOT7 – Bambam and Mark – as the main product ambassadors and event presenters

APPROACH

Leveraging the presence of two famous K-Pop stars, Midas PR reached out to our various media contacts in the lifestyle and entertainment sectors in addition to a curated list of IT and business media. 

Having superstars attend the event also meant going the extra mile to manage media to ensure a professional environment throughout the event. It included implementing a strict protocol from media registration to coordinating the media interview with our own PR executive.

RESULTS

The launch event was a media success, gathering the participation of 86 media representatives from close to 50 media organizations in total.

The result is a massive 87 clippings across major TV and newspapers, as well as technology and lifestyle focused media.
