Testimonials

Dear Karin

If I may add my humble voice to what I'm sure is an almost constantly deafening chorus of praise directed toward you and your hard work for NFS and the magnificent venue at the Vie Hotel. It has been my experience, and I'm sure you would agree, that great networking events are really about locations, food and speakers. The amazing consistency of your relentless efforts to make NFS the best networking event at the best locations in BKK is quite remarkable and exemplary. You have taken NFS from one good location to another, each one out doing the last one. I was really impressed and more than satisfied with your newest location. The speaker, atmosphere, and food were outstanding.

My sincerest thanks to you for all of your hard work, kindness and considerations extended to all of us who attended and for totally spoiling us for networking events!

Very best wishes,

Robert Timmermans,  Wealth Management Thailand

We were launching our pharmaceutical and healthcare hybrid marketing practice in Asia. I was coming to Bangkok on short notice but Karin and Midas PR came through for me and arranged two speaking engagements at her Networking events and a radio interview to support my business during my short stay in Bangkok. What a professional job, I doubt any other group would have been willing or able to accomplish what she and her team did.

I'm always impressed with how professional and organized a PR Midas Event is. From the smiles you receive as you walk into an event to the smooth registration process, I know I'm always guaranteed a "no hassle" event with a good feeling to it. Midas PR really know how to bring out the Press like no Agency I've seen. That's why I always count on Midas PR when I do an event in Bangkok.

About BYP - Bangkok Young Professionals

Bangkok Young Professionals (BYP) Thailand's fastest growing social and business networking group remains the most popular way for Thailand's young high-fliers to meet and mingle together in fun, sexy venues.

Who, Why and How? Doing business and making contacts in Asia can often be rather formal affair. This is why Bangkok Young Professionals (BYP) was started by Karin Frick Lohitnavy and Callum Laing back in 2006. The two networking experts saw the need in Bangkok for a new regular event that could introduce people of all nationalities to like-minded professionals at fun, informal gatherings where they could build partnerships and socialise. As a result, Bangkok Young Professionals has been one of the big success stories of the last few years, with the monthly events attracting increasing numbers of guests. The healthy 50-50 mix of Thais and expats ensures that the BYP events are lively and that everyone can blend with people whom they might not normally meet socially.

BYP is not just about meeting new faces and swapping business cards. Guests and members get the chance to make close friends as well as invaluable contacts. As a result, many mutually beneficial partnerships are formed. And as well as networking, the BYP is about the promotion of charitable causes and education.

The annual membership fee for Bangkok Young Professionals is 4,000 Baht and buys entry to all the events. (Non-members can pay 500 Baht on the door).  Once inside, you'll find an atmosphere conducive to meeting people.

The conversation is lubricated by free drinks and the music is kept low-key so that you can chat to new people without raising your voice. Tapas-style finger foods keep guests mingling and, while delicious, don't distract from the main purpose of the night-to meet people, have a good time and raise your profile.

About NFS - Networking for Success

Networking for Success (NFS) held every Friday from 12.00 to 14.00 at our new location, Be Your Guest Villa, Sukhumvit Soi 53 about a 5 minute walk from the Thonglor BTS.

NFS is all about connecting with people and creating value and opportunities.

From a simple beginning back in 2005, when the founder, Callum Laing, MD of Mobyelite said to one of his close friends here in Bangkok, Tim Hansen: "Let's start up a new networking breakfast. Come meet me on Thursday morning at the Novotel Siam Square, worst case you and I can have some breakfast together." From that humble beginning 5 years ago, we are here now with NFS, plus many NFS licensees in Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines delivering value to their members.

NFS is where people come to meet and create long business relationships. Many business deals have closed as a result of meetings at NFS. Every week we have a different speaker presenting a new concept, idea, views that will benefit growing your business in Thailand or the region.

Membership is 2,500 THB, for at least 48 meetings (sometimes more, depends how the holiday schedules work). Corporate Membership for 4,500 THB (3 members). Non-members are always welcome to join as well, now only 700THB (600 THB if booked in advance) now for a sumptuous lunch. Members only pay  400 THB!
